Wearwell Named Best UK Manufacturer At The Professional Clothing Awards
British workwear specialist, Wearwell has been named the Best UK Manufacturer at the Professional Clothing Awards. The Tamworth-based firm also picked up a second gong at last night’s ceremony, with Wearwell CAD operator, Stan Groucott receiving the Services to the Textile Industry awards after almost half a century with the Tamworth manufacturer.
The Professional Clothing Awards bring the entire professional clothing industry together and cover all facets of the working garment industry. The awards, which were held at The Park Plaza London Riverbank and hosted by Sharron Davies, MBE, and John Miln, are the culmination of a stellar 12 months for Wearwell, following its acquisition by CEO, Richard Wright last summer.
He said, “Winning Best British Manufacturer is a wonderful achievement for everyone involved with Wearwell. I don’t think there is a higher honour than to be recognised and acknowledged by our industry peers especially for Stan, whose 45 years within the textile industry hasn’t gone in noticed.”
The two gongs come at the end of a busy month for Wearwell – it unveiled the results of a comprehensive rebrand and brand new website at the start of June as part of its push into new markets.
